About Us

Russell Country Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1946 here in Great Falls, Montana. Represented by the merger of four area credit unions over a period of 20 years, the name “Russell Country” was adopted on April 6, 1999 after approval by the NCUA. We believe our name represents the history of this great region, and the people we proudly serve.

Our field of membership is one of the largest geographic areas in the state of Montana. Our community charter allows membership with Russell Country to anyone residing in Cascade, Chouteau, Pondera, and Teton counties, a portion of Lewis & Clark county, and the town of Augusta, Montana.

Establishing your membership with Russell Country makes you “A Member For Life”. You become an owner of the credit union, which makes you eligible to open accounts, apply for loan services, participate at our annual meeting, and take advantage of other membership benefits.

The money you have on deposit at Russell Country is insured up to $100,000.00 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, provided by the NCUA-an independent agency of the federal government.
